APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications for FAMU ECSC/ESI Environmental Science Summer Camp must be postmarked by March 23, 2009.

ELIGIBILITY: Students who are currently in the 8th grade through 11th grade are eligible to apply.  Students should have a strong interest in science and math.

The following criteria are considered

TIMELINESS: Completed applications must be post-marked by March 23rd.

SCIENCE AND MATH COURSES: All students are required to list the science and math courses that they have taken, and those that they plan to take in the future.

GRADES: Success in science and math courses is strongly considered. Overall GPA is also considered.  There is no minimum GPA required to apply.

ESSAYS: The Summer Camp admissions committee will read each essay thoroughly. They are very interested in learning about a student’s motivation and what the student wants to get out of their Environmental Science Summer Camp experience.

TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS: All applicants must submit a completed teacher recommendation form from a current, or former math or science teacher.  The completed teacher recommendation form must be submitted along with the completed application.  It cannot be sent separately.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES: Extra-curricular activities surrounding math and science are considered.
